The ranking is based on performance of the country on twelve different parameters.. Score is given out of 7, lowest possible score is 1. Ranking is also given on the on each of the parameters (termed as pillars) on the basis of score achieved out of 7.
India really outperformed other countries when it came to financial sophistication , business sophistication, market size and Innovation to some extent. But it really struggled in labor efficiency, higher education and training, infrastructure and the last two were where India really need to work on it was Health & primary education and Macro economic stability.
